The First Grade Team says of itself, "We are committed and love teaching. Our students are extremely happy."

The team works collaboratively and cooperatively to support sharing of both ideas and materials. Teachers share their expertise in technology, science, math, and literacy, and work together to coordinate field trips.

Reading skills and strategies are taught in flexible reading groups through an exchange among first grade classrooms. This program is designed to maximize student learning at the appropriate instructional levels.
