2010 Writers’ Celebration!  It’s that uniquely Bryant tradition, when all our young authors—from the fresh-faced kindergartners to the worldly wise fifth graders—present their very best original writings to small groups of appreciative listeners.

How does this great event come about?  With the help of you and over 90 other teachers, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and friends acting as group leaders. Your reward? Seeing the pride of each child as they present a work that has been carefully nourished in class over the past few months.

Secure your spot to lead a group on Friday, May 14 from 1:30 to 3:00 pm by filling out your volunteer form now! (Requests to be placed with sons/daughters more easily met with early submission).

Bryant’s annual spring barbeque lunch and Writers' Celebration will be on Friday, May 15, 2009.  

It’s time for one of the great events in the Bryant school year. An annual event, the Writers' Celebration celebrates the written work of each student in the school, K-5. Led by a volunteer parent or teacher, students share their original writing in a small group of approximately six students. Past volunteer leaders have reported how rewarding it is to participate in these writers’ circles, and how proud each student is to share their work. We need approximately 90 volunteers (parents, grandparents, other relative and friends are welcome) to help lead these groups from 1:30–3:00pm. And/or perhaps you could help in the planning or provide a treat for the classroom party after the event? Thank you for your participation!

All Bryant students in grades K-5 are invited to design a bookmark for the Writers’ Celebration. Two bookmarks will be selected from each grade level. These bookmarks will be reproduced and given to all students on the day of the event.

Before the Celebration is our annual spring BBQ lunch. We'll need to know who's coming (parents and siblings are welcome), your food selection (choose from hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and veggie burgers), and which shift you could help out with (set up, food preparation, cooking, serving, and clean up).
